applesauce maker Dec 26, 2009 I love this food mill for making applesauce. It is so easy. I have been making applesauce for over 40 years but my other mill broke which was similar to the new one. I would highly recommend this one.
As good as Mom's Dec 09, 2009 I purchased this for my daughter because she kept borrowing mine and I decided it was time for her to have her own. I couldn't find one in the stores, so I took a chance and ordered the 3.5 quart online. It is larger than mine and great for a family. I highly recommend this product, and will order two more for my other daughters.
Worthless Dec 03, 2009 I bought this several years ago and I'm replacing it because it just doesn't get the job done. Most of the food remains mashed inside instead of coming out the bottom, and it takes a lot of downward pressure to get anything out. The bottom adjustment knob with the spring is very hard to adjust and requires pliers to turn it. This food mill is one piece and does not have removable discs, so it's one size only and very hard to clean.
Not as well made as the one my mom had Nov 28, 2009 Unfortunately this is lightly made so parts bend if you are not very careful. Also the blade is not close to the edge of the bowl so what you are trying to strain squishes out and must be scooped down to finish.
Old Favorite Nov 11, 2009 I am so grateful to get this mill - It is perfect for applesauce! Thanks so much for a quick delivery!
