4Applesauce  Apr 27, 2009
Great for making applesauce although peels did get stuck in the bottom if too many cooked apple pieces were put into the press.

5NO more borrowing  Apr 11, 2009
What can I say except that this does exactly what it should. I no longer have to borrow my mother's food press to make blackberry jelly. Next year I'll make sure to make even more, since I won't be stuck doing it on a schedule.

5Awesome Food Press!  Nov 18, 2008
My favorite thing about this food press is the width of the stand... it fits over my larger size bowls!

The product is awesome. My family has been canning juice since I was a child. Now we can juice. I bought one for two other family members. It is just like the one that we had for years . 3It's Okay...  Sep 30, 2008
I used my mothers old food press, colander, for years. Hers was a Wearever too but the quality of mine does not compare. Neither the press nor the pestle of the new version are shaped properly to ensure ease when pressing the food through and the design has changed. The newer version works okay, but I prefer the older versions design with the sturdy construction of the press and the cone shaped pestle; which helps prevent the food from coming over the top of the press.
