Works as said, would reccommend. Oct 09, 2009 Now, I've only owned hand-held citrus juicers. We have a large orange tree, and a lemon tree that bear quite a bit of fruit, and me being a big drinker, like making lemonade and orange juice from them. It's a lot of work on a hand-held crank juicer, so I tried this out.
I was pleasantly surprised. This is a small juicer, so it can easily take up little space on a counter or in a cupboard, and works efficiently. When I used the hand-held squeezers, it often left a lot of the orange inside the rind, leaving me to, if I was intent enough, go back and squeeze the rest of it myself. This automatic goes right down to the edges, getting every last bit, and in a matter of seconds!
I would certainly recommend this juicer. It's cost-efficient, and gets the most juice from the fruit as possible. My only downfall I noticed, is the strainer leaves a bit of pulp in the juice. If you don't mind pulp? It's great! Otherwise, it's an extra step of straining, which I don't mind, anyhow.

too much work Aug 07, 2009 Too much pulps in the juice. I had to filter the juice again and again before feeding it to my baby. I ended up just give my baby Tropicana juice instead.
Great Juicer for the Price! May 05, 2009 This juicer is a great value for the price. It was either this or the Black and Decker CJ525, and right when I was ready to order the Black and Decker it went out of stock from Amazon. I ended up finding the Oster 3186 and am glad I did!
At first I thought I was going with the second best since the Black and Decker CJ525 had so many great reviews, but after using the Oster 3186 I am glad I got this instead.
Pro's:
-It is easy to use
-It is powerful enough to juice lemons, oranges, and I even jucied some grapefuits
-It juices to the pith of the fruit, so it definitely works well
-It has a strainer to catch all the large pulp and pits
-It reverses its spinning order by stopping and restarting
-It cleans extremely easy
-The juicing pitcher removes from the base for easy serving
Cons's:
I haven't experienced any cons yet. If I had to throw a few out there I would say that it would be nice if it had a setting to allow more or less pulp. Next, I would imagine the engine is not that powerful for someone who juices a lot. Neither of these Con's would affect me so I gave it 5 stars!
I was out to find a juicer for the occasion that I have extra oranges/grapefruits/lemons around and want to juice them.
For under $18 shipped with amazon prime I am a happy buyer. Well worth the price.

Fresh Juice Apr 24, 2009 This is perfect for my family of two. We have fresh grapefruit or orange within 3 minutes. There are no additives, perservatives or water added just fresh and pure juice whenever we want it.
Does what it's supposed to, for cheap! Apr 22, 2009 I've worked with commercial citrus juicers in the past and they are tough and effective, but they also cost upwards of $450. This little guy does everything I need it to, for a mere $18 here on Amazon, I can't imagine getting a better deal. I especially like how it will go in reverse if you lift up on the pressure being applied and then press back down, pulls more that way every time. This is VERY easy to clean in minimal time, which of course is ideal. Also, this 3186 does a great job of catching pulp and seeds in it's vented tray. It has a cheap plastic feel to it when lifting it, but works well in action, if you don't press too hard it will be fine. It was either this or the Black and Decker CJ525 counterpart, which isn't in stock at Amazon, so that made my decision easy. So far I have only used this on lemons (doing a cleanse), but it doesn't leave anything but the peel after juicing. Even if it only lasts 6 months from wear and tear it was well worth it.
