2I won't buy them again  Nov 17, 2009
I use Rain-X fluid on my windshield, and also their window cleaning mixture added to my reservoir. They both perform well here in Memphis, TN, in all seasons. So I thought these blades which I received near the end of May 2009 would also perform well, especially reading the reviews. For the first month they were not too bad but still left some streaks in places in spite of my efforts to bend them a bit to conform to my windshield shape on my 2008 Toyota Tundra which uses one 24" and one 22" blade.

In less than 4 months the streaking increased and now at 6 months they tend to chatter no matter what I try. I put the OEM wipers back on and they work much better, leaving no streaks with no chatter. I will keep the RainX Latitudes as back-up blades for now since I paid so much for them. But when it comes time to buy a new set I won't be buying any Rain-X blades but will try other, much cheaper aftermarket solutions from my local auto parts store.

1formert auto parts man dissatisfied  Nov 06, 2009
Used these 26". I think 22" and below they're great, and the snow can't freeze the frame. But with my size these just created huge miss spots while wiping. I cannot get the wiper spine to arc totally on my windshield so there's huge gaps. Many have reported this issue. . Almost had an accident with these. Stay away. Honestly, inexpensive regular wipers have worked well for me for years. oh well, live and learn. It is just hype.

1Latitude wipers don't live up to manufacturer's claims  Oct 29, 2009
I bought a pair of these wipers based on all the advertising hype from Rain-X. They were really expensive as you must already know. Before installing the wipers, I cleaned the windshield with the Rain-X spray glass cleaner which was provided with my wipers. I bought them directly from Rain-X and the glass cleaner and treatment were part of a promotional deal. Then I treated the glass with Rain-X Original Glass Treatment. On first usage, I was amazed at how well these blades removed water and how quiet they were. But after 4 or 5 uses, these expensive, hyped up wipers began to chatter across the windshield just like my old cheap Pep Boys wipers did. So I cleaned the glass again, reapplied more glass treatment and made sure the wipers were clean as well. Did this work? No. I contacted Rain_X twice asking for advice as to how to prevent this annoying, frustrating chattering. All I received in return were e-mails promising a solution. That was 2 months ago and I haven't heard anything yet. My advice is to buy two pairs of cheap blades for the same money you'll spend on these monsters.

5Rain-x Latitude is an excellent product  Oct 26, 2009
This is touted as a premium auto accessory product, and it certainly lives up to its billing. These Latitude wiper blades by Rain-x perform impeccably in light, medium or even overwhelmingly heavy rains. Today was the first day I got to try them out in precipitation and it just happened that it was one of those severe Houston squalls that create flooding and hazardous driving conditions. The water was pouring down with blistering raindrops, but the Latitude blades cleared my windshield better than my previous Bosch standard blades by a wide margin. When the rain is very severe, you see noticeable improvement in performance with Latitudes. With medium to light rain, the diference is startling--the window is literally wiped to clear squeaky-dry perfection (albeit, perhaps only for several seconds, before more rain comes down). I cannot comment on Latitude's performance in snowy or icy conditions as my area of the country is not a cold winter region. But if you are looking for high-performance wipers for effective moisture clearance, Rain-x Latitude wipers are the ones you want. Incidentally, installation was a breeze. Taking off my previous passenger-side wiper proved to be the most difficult part. Installing the Latitude wiper blades literally took five seconds for each blade, Driver's and Passenger's sides, they snapped right in with ease. Each Latitude blade comes with three accessory adaptors that you can choose from to fit whichever car or truck you have. Some blade assemblies like mine on my '03 Hyundai (small j-hook) don't even need the adaptors. You have to refer to the Rain-x website first to see which Passenger-side and Driver-side wiper blade sizes you need to order first (the Driver and Passenger side sizes are often different) and which wiper assembly your car or truck uses. The Rain-x website makes it easy to figure this all out.

5So far so fantastic  Oct 21, 2009
They are replacing a set of Michelin frameless blades that lasted nearly a year (no mean feat as I live in Colorado and park outside) and were still working better than many old blades did out of the box so my expectation are high ... So far they function even better than the Michelins did new, completely clearing any amount of rain or mist in a single swipe absolutely silently without leaving any "trials" on the return swipe (a problem every other blade I've ever used has had). The only thing that remains to be seen is if they last as long as the Michelins.
