I had a salad shooter for years and wore it out, this one is nice but when I listen to the motor change tones as it is shredding weggies it is not as powerful as my old one, but it is still good

PRESTO 02970 SALAD SHOOTER SLICER&SHREDDER We have always loved salads but now we are salads fanatics!! It changes the taste of the lettuce and we love trying new things....our favorite is lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and chunks of chicken. Makes for a great quick lunch for hot days.

This is the most used appliance in my Kitchen. It's easy and useful. I got one as a hand me down 9 years ago and the motor just die.d I'm ordering a new one so I don't have to use my hand grater anymore! Love it!

Presto 02910 SaladShooter Electric Slicer/Shredder When my old salad shooter quit working right in the middle of dinner, I was worried that I'd never find another one. It's one of the greatest inventions ever made. It makes quick work of shredding potatoes, carrots & other vegetables. I looked in a few stores and couldn't find one. I was so delighted to find several at amazon.com. They never let me down.

Great shredder/grater, makes great cole slaw. Dec 18, 2006
About 10 years ago, our grater broke late in the evening, and the closest thing open was our little hardware store. We had people coming over and needed to have cole slaw made for a party. The had expensive replacement graters, and for a bit more this Salad shooter unit. We thought, what the heck. This was such a time saver, and a great addition to the kitchen. nice even chopped/grated/sliced carrots or cabbage or potatoes, what ever you are chopping. Worth the 20 bucks or so, and likely a good gift as well. Try it, you'll like it.
