Very Poor Quality Jun 10, 2009 Universal Housewares 301A Gourmet Meat Chopper
If no stars was an option for rating, that would have been my choice for this review. This product is very poorly designed and made. While it is not Amazon's fault, Universal should be ashamed of themselves for making something so cheap. I owned an "antique" Universal grinder that was wonderful, but lost it in a move so I wanted a new one. I looked for the Universal brand, thinking I would get the same quality that I was used to. What a mistake that was! I am in the process of returning this and will never buy a Universal product again.

it's ok. Sep 13, 2008 The assembly instructions are not all that clear. It is difficult to attach to a counter. I attached it to a stool with better results but put a small thin cutting board between the wood and grinder to protect the wooden stool. It did the job but was a lot more work than I remember my mother's grinder was to use.

Works fine, get's the job done Jan 05, 2008 i bought this several years ago for the sole purpous of being able to make balogna pickel sandwich spread (you know the kind you had as a kid). Works great. the fine setting was a bit difficlut to get the food through but medium works great.
*It can be a bit of a hassle to clean.
*Place a bowl under it as anything juicy (like pickels) will send it's juices running out the back of the grinder and run down the clamp.
*Didn't open far enough to clamp onto my kitchen counter so I have to use my wooden cutitng board and put it on the counter and clamp it to that.
