Outdoor Dryer Nov 17, 2009 Great Outdoor Dryer by Whitney Design. Model 3000.. I recommended this to a Friend..
Outdoor parallel-style clothes line Oct 11, 2009 I am unable to give you a review as the clothes line is sitting in its box until spring. I ordered it too late for this season. Living in Vermont gives those of us who live here a very, very short drying season. It will be put up in the spring, probably May when the snow is all gone. Thanks.
Average quality Aug 05, 2009 I've been drying clothes outdoors for 25 years. My last clothesline, very similar to this one, would have lasted forever if the movers hadn't damaged it. I thought I was replacing my old one with one just like it, but my old one must have been galvanized steel and this one is aluminum.
After reading the reviews, I knew I would have to clean it before hanging out clothes and it was indeed very dirty - both the pole and the clotheslines themselves. And there was a bad odor. I know I will have to tighten the lines from time to time. But these are problems I am very willing to solve, because hanging clothes out is just so much better than using a dryer, especially in the summer.
This is definitely not as good quality as my old one - but nothing is these days - things were always made better many years ago. But I think it will hold up well and should last a very long time.
I think the seller could improve by sending an email upon shipment, with a tracking number. I really wanted to know what day to expect it and so I emailed the seller. I received a nice reply - right AFTER it arrived.

I've had the dryer for just a few weeks and I WOULD NOT GIVE IT FOUR STARS NOW - maybe three at most. The bad odor remains, even after washing it several times - it is quite obnoxious. And one of the arms on top, held to the horizontal string pole by a plastic bolt, had the bolt pop out and I can't get it back in. Two of the arms are fixed with a metal or aluminum "bolt" - the other two have plastic bolts, which makes no sense to me. I emailed the seller, who contacted the manufacturer. The manufacturer has promised to ship out a new one. Hopefully it won't have the same problem. I keep the dryer opened up in the garage year-round - I don't think it would hold up well outdoors in the sun and weather.
arm just bent in half & whole thing collapsed! Jul 24, 2009 Only lasted about six months! Was hanging out a load of towels & one arm bent totally in half, and all my laundry ended up on the ground. The thing wasn't full and I was hanging things evenly so as not to put too much weight on one side. Very disappointing.
GREAT PRODUCT Jul 21, 2009 THE WHITNEY DESIGN IS GREAT WAY TO SAVE MONEY EASY TO INSTALL DRIES LOTS OF CLOTHES AT ONE TIME HIGHLY RECOMEND
