Really Good Product Jun 10, 2009 I purchased this for Christmas in 2007 and it still works great. I especially like the easy way to clean it. Just push down the button on top and the cutter part pops off to wash/clean. Just pop it back on.
Red is a great accent color Dec 24, 2008 I have used this exact can opener, in black, for many years and have been very satisfied. When the new red opener came out, I ordered the Hamilton Beach red coffee maker and also the red can opener. I would recommend this product. If you can use the red, it certainly makes a great accent color and will give many years of service.
should have a safety opener mechanism Aug 27, 2008 The can opener is the correct shade of red and works well. I have a hanilton beach can opener now the has a safty and resealable mechanism but is in white and this one is red they should combine the features of both can openers together that way you will get the color you want with out the cuts on your hands.

Best can opener I ever had Jul 16, 2008 This can opener is sleek and modern and opens cans smoothly and efficiently without splashing the juice all over the counter. I like the fact that it is tall so it can open taller cans. I love it!

Can't catch, can't hold Jun 07, 2008 My experience was similar to other negative reviewers'. After a few months, it became almost impossible to get the opener to "catch" on the can and actually begin cutting. You need to jiggle and push and give it a running start.
Also bothersome is the weakness of the magnet, which is essentially useless.
